Our Story

Designs By Des Interiors was founded in 2019 by our owner Desireè when she saw a vision of helping busy professionals like herself by creating healthy spaces that would foster growth.

As a young child, she always had a vision to create beautiful spaces that allowed for security and growth. Experiencing life hurdles in being a Navy daughter and overcoming a traumatic house fire as a pre-teen, she knew she wanted to give back to families and communities. The vision became more clear when she became a new mom, working from home in corporate America where she knew there was a need for a service like hers. Through her professional experience over the years, she has mastered distorting perspectives, brightening spaces, beautifying realities, and optimizing space through different techniques she has implemented. While becoming a homeowner, she has expanded her expertise in DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and taught others healthy home habits that can be passed down for generations to come.

Soon enough, Designs By Des Interiors grew and the need for more hands on deck became prominant. By hiring her family in fields they all mastered in, she knew she had a vehicle that would create a one stop shop approach to design unlike any other.

It has become our passion to bring the same love and balance into your interior space.

We are experts in distorting perceptions, beautifying realities, and space optimization through a cutting edge approach. DBDI believes home is a place of inner peace and dwelling. Everything begins and ends at home.

Principle, Founder, Interior Designer

Our name “Designs By Des Interiors” came from Desireè’s name herself! With her vision to help busy families create homes that they could love just like she did in her journey as a working stay-at-home mom, we have built a business that continues to share in her passion for beautiful multi-functional spaces. Desireè leads all of the design team, creates the designs, and executes all shopping experiences for clients. With her background in architecture, lighting, and psychology, she has helped create her empire around her loves. She is a mommy of a boy named Myles that is her world.

Favorite Pastimes: Running Track & Field, Drawing, Writing, and Blogging

Our best professional to get the job done, Jonathan knows how to build and assemble by learning in the trade. From being a former Hull Tech in the Navy to an entrepreneur himself in network marketing and transportation, he helps deliver, assemble and stage all local projects. His bubbly personality makes all installations fun and memorable!

Favorite Pastimes: Roller Skating Fanatic, Karate Fan, church and community service, and being a “Pa” Fellow Bostonian, MA born and raised.

Kyle Washington

General Manager "Meet our Chips"

DBDI would not be where it is today without the tremendous support of a partner like Kyle. Kyle is the husband of Desiree who was eager to help bring local projects to life by organizing all of the logistics and operations of the installation processes. From refurbishing furniture to assembly, install staging, and cleaning, Kyle does it all. With his fellow son Myles as his little apprentice, he hopes to teach a new trade to pass down.

Favorite Pastimes: Playing Basketball, Music Junkie, Huge Professional NFL and NBA fan (Boston Teams), and Traveling Providence bred, but raised in northern, RI

The ultimate product shopper, Sharon brings a unique eye to the shopping experience for clients. Her eye helps aid in the design and install process while also working with the logistics team with packing and caring for all products. With experience in being an entrepreneur herself in the wedding industry and a leader in sports management, she brings a diverse background in executing in a timeless fashion.

With an eye for marketing and strategy, Dara brings a fresh outlook to our branding and clientele relations. As a Community Manager at one of the largest online universities in the country, she has the experience to execute and bring an unforgettable experience for all of our clients. We are so proud to have her as a part of our team so every client truly feels a part of the family.
